Influence of whitening gel on a teeth.
Let’s consider influence of whitening gel on tooth enamel. At present, patients have an opinion that whitening gels are acid, and they badly operate on tooth enamel. But it is not so!
Numerous researches of enamel of the bleached teeth under a microscope have shown that 10 % hydrogen peroxide do not operate on durability and mineral structure of enamel of a tooth. We have to tell to patients that fruit juice, more harm brings tooth enamels, than whitening gels. Therefore it is not recommended to use those whitening gels which contain more than 10 % of hydrogen peroxide since they have an untoward influence on tooth enamel. Still it is possible to notice that whitening gels have not bad influence on structure of a teeth including on a nervous fabric of a tooth.
Influence of whitening gel on dental restoration.
At present, there are no proofs of that whitening gel influences structure of composite (white) seals, crowns, bridges. At the same time it is necessary to remember that such treatment does not give whitening effect on tooth restorations. So, if the patient has tooth restorations after whitening they do not become such light, as the whitened natural teeth.
